Dear Members and Transport Community at Large!
I am honored to say a word to you in the name of Transporters solidarity towards our daily endeavors.
It is well known Transport business is one of the most challenging affair in the world and mostly in our
growing economy world.
The challenges are more often than the opportunities on which mostly requires dedication inner call to
endure rather than profit driven venture.
Challenges faced are multi faceted- ranging from acquisition of investments capital funds; working
capital funds, Infrastructure and harsh transport policies and lack of dedicated support from the
authorities.
The idea of getting together as a group of concerned business people in the industry is meant to team
up together and address our concerns in an organized manner instead of divided attentions.
This has enabled many challenges being addressed through advocacy by our selected team of officers to
the authorities and other stake holders whereas it managed to at least cushion the otherwise hard
surface the transporters have been going through.
I must thank the President of United Republic of Tanzania – Dr. SAMIA SULUHU HASSAN and her
government and Institutions affiliated to our operations – namely TANROAD, Ministry of works and
Transport, Traffic Police, Tanzania revenue Authority, Tanzania Ports Authority and all for listening to
our many grievances which in most occasions were resolved in short span of time.
I encourage all transporters to remain focused and keep on sticking together as a lot is happening for
the better tomorrow for us.
